The Invitation
Rebecca Hart thought she found peace when she moved into the Ersatz Holding Senior Living Apartments in Raleigh, North Carolina. Surrounded by beautiful lawns, blooming trees, and tranquil silence, she hoped to leave behind the bitterness, loneliness, and resentment that haunted her for the last 20 years. But despite the calm around her, the storm inside remained. Angry, closed-off, and unwilling to forgive a wrong that was done to her, Rebecca shut out her entire family, including her 26-year-old daughter.
To her, forgiveness was weakness, and her favorite phrase said it all: “My heart is shaped like a diamond—hard and impenetrable.”
But diamonds, while beautiful and strong, are also cold and unyielding—just like the heart Rebecca has carried for far too long. In this powerful Christian short film, follow Rebecca's emotional journey as she confronts the cost of unforgiveness and the weight of a heart hardened by pain.
What happens when love, grace, and truth begin to break through the diamond? And what does God say about a heart unwilling to forgive? This is a story about redemption, healing, and the life-changing power of forgiveness.
